Increasing Panel Data Accuracy
An Application to Internet Panels

Abstract:

In this paper, we develop a methodology for combining panel data and census based information to significantly increase the panel’s accuracy. We show how one can implement this methodology using either a classical or a Bayesian approach. We then illustrate our approach using an Internet online panel and Website specific log data.
